Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains how refunds are handled for purchases made on
Registry Office UK (“we”, “us”, “our”). By purchasing any listing or subscription
on our website, you agree to this policy.

1. Types of Purchases Covered

We offer two types of paid services:

  1. Single-Payment Listings
    A one-off payment for a fixed-duration listing on our directory.
  2. Subscription Listings
    Ongoing listings billed on a recurring basis (e.g., monthly or annually) until cancelled.

This policy applies to both purchase types.

2. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK law, including your rights under the
Consumer Rights Act 2015.

3. Refunds for Single-Payment Listings

3.1 Digital Service Nature

Directory listings are considered a digital service that begins immediately upon
purchase or when the listing goes live.

3.2 Cooling-Off Period

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, consumers normally have a 14-day cooling-off period.
However, by submitting your listing and choosing to publish it immediately, you expressly consent to
the immediate start of the service and acknowledge that the cooling-off period no longer applies once
the service has begun.

3.3 When Refunds Are Granted

Refunds for single-payment listings may be issued only if:

  • We fail to publish your listing within the agreed timeframe;
  • The listing is published with errors caused by us and we are unable to correct them within a reasonable time;
  • A technical issue on our platform prevents your listing from being displayed for a significant portion of the listing period.

3.4 When Refunds Are Not Granted

We do not offer refunds for:

  • Change of mind after purchase;
  • Listings that were published correctly and on time;
  • Situations where you fail to provide required information, images, or content;
  • Early removal of your listing at your request.

4. Refunds for Subscription Listings

4.1 Recurring Charges

Subscriptions renew automatically at the stated interval until cancelled.

4.2 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account dashboard or by contacting us.
After cancellation, your listing will remain active until the end of your current billing period.

4.3 Refund Eligibility for Subscriptions

You may be eligible for a refund only if:

  • A subscription listing was not activated or published due to our error;
  • A technical fault on our platform prevents your listing from being displayed for a significant portion of the billing cycle;
  • You were charged in error due to a system fault.

4.4 Non-Refundable Situations

We do not provide refunds for:

  • Unused time remaining in your billing period after cancellation;
  • Renewals that occurred before you cancelled the subscription;
  • Changes of mind or dissatisfaction not related to service failure;
  • Missing or incomplete listing information provided by you.

5. Business Customers

If you are purchasing on behalf of a business, you acknowledge that:

  • Certain consumer protections (including cooling-off rights) may not apply; and
  • Refunds are granted only where required by law or where specified in this policy.

  • Your name;
  • Listing or subscription ID;
  • Date of purchase;
  • Reason for the refund request; and
  • Any supporting evidence (for example, screenshots).

We aim to respond within 5–10 business days and may ask for additional information to process your request.

7. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback without first giving us the opportunity to resolve the issue, we may suspend
or terminate your account and remove your listings until the matter is resolved.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with
an updated “Last updated” date.
