Giving notice
Giving notice costs £35 per person.
It will cost £47 per person if you’re referred to the Home Office under the referral and investigation scheme.
If you need to provide documentation for a divorce abroad, there is an extra fee of £50. If there’s uncertainty whether the divorce is valid, the documents will be referred to the Register General and this fee will increase to £75.
Registration of civil ceremonies (marriages and civil partnerships)
It’s £11 to purchase an additional certificate at the time of your ceremony. Central government set the price for certificates.

The fee is £11 per certificate and must be paid to the Register Office in at least 5 working days in advance of the ceremony. Please call 01706 924784 to make payment.
